Frequently Asked Questions
Rise and Recliner Chairs
Yes, all Funiture will be set up and delivered locally free of charge. We will give a full demonstration, leave a users manual and remove all packaging from site
Unfortunately no. We are unable to disposed of these large items and would recommend that you contact your local authority or a responsible waste carrier and ask how they can be recycled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Stairlifts
Yes we sure can, its an old myth that stairlift’sĀ fix to a solid wall. Our stairlifts will be fixed to the stair tread itself, normally screwed through the carpet. Depending on which model of stairlift you require there will be a fixing every-other step with either 3 or 4 screws per fixing. the only items that will be fixed to the wall will be the charger and the remote controls
Depending on the model of stairlift we are installing, we will be completing a straight installation in around 2-4 hours and a curved one in around 4-5 hours. Longer lengths of curved stairlift may take longer as will fixings to concrete stairs. Disruption will be minimum as we will only require clear access to the staircase.
We will protect surrounding areas, but if you have important items around the stairs it will be safe to have them removed prior to our arrival. As we are not fixing to the walls, there will be very little drilling, noise or dust. If we do make a mess our engineers are house trained and will hover away any mess!!
Depending the length of time the stairlift has been installed it maybe that we may purchase the stairlift back, however this will depend on our stock levels at the time but will always favour our own installed stairlifts.
Once removed, there will be indentation in the carpet where the fixing brackets were located, there are some trick on how to return the pile back but check with your carpet supplier how they would recommend you should, other than this it will be hard to tell one was ever installed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Walking Aids
Yes, some lighter than others but all are at least Aluminium. Different rollators are more suited to differing needs so ones built for ‘off-road’ walking will be heavier than those designed for everyday pavement use. Be careful there are some very light weight ones on the internet which will be flimsy and not very robust!
Our team will advise on the correct setting of handles on all the aids we provide, generally they should be wrist height, however differing medical conditions may change this rule, professional medical advice should be obtain if you have such conditions or discomfort with your current walking aid.
